top bowlers seniors januray 2016

1. Sachin Rana: 7/22 in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Cricket Tournament

It was surely once in a lifetime performance from Sachin Rana as he single handedly ran through the batting line up of Vidya Jain Academy and sent back 7 batsmen himself, thus getting them all out for a low score which was eventually chased down by his team with 5 wickets to spare. (Match Report)

2. Ankit Maini: 5/30 in DDCA League 2015-16

Ankit played an instrumental role in his team’s victory in the ongoing DDCA League as he spun his way en route grabbing a five wicket haul against Madras Club, thus getting them all out for just 137 runs. His team won by 10 wickets courtesy opener Vaibhav Bhatt’s unbeaten 99 run knock. (Match Report)

3. Piyush Gupta: 5/10 in Dharmender Singh Memorial Tournament

A bowler’s effort generally goes unnoticed especially when two batsmen smash 140 plus in the same match. But we ensure that Piyush’s effort doesn’t go unnoticed as he played an important role in Rohtak Road Gymkhana’s record 311 run victory against York Club. Even though they had a huge cushion runs, still Piyush went for wickets and grabbed five of them giving away almost nothing. (Match Report)

4. Milind Kumar: 5/28 in Dharmender Singh Memorial Tournament

It’s always difficult for bowlers in a high scoring game as batsmen are always after them for some quick runs. But at the same time, it also gives them an opportunity to pick wickets as batsmen take risks especially while chasing. Milind Kumar showed excellent skill while defending a huge target and ended up bagging a five wicket haul for Hargopal Academy, resulting in a victory by 233 runs. (Match Report)

5. Kartik Pawar: 5/30 in DDCA League 2015-16

The only bowler in this list who ended up on the losing side. Not his fault, of course! Kartik’s superb spell helped dismiss the opponents for just 140 runs in the DDCA League encounter. But batsmen from his own team performed even worse, getting all out for just 89 runs and lost the match that was theirs to be won. (Match Report)
